Premium Review Tesco Finest Range: Tesco's finest unsavory burgers (226 words)

6 months ago, while staying at a friend's house I was offered a hamburger . When I enquired where they were from I was surprised to find out they were Tesco's brand. Advertised as Aberdeen, containing 2 burgers per pack at £1.85 this seemed like reasonable value. I continually purchased them for a while cooking them grilled, fried and barbecued. However in the last couple of months of purchasing these from 3 different Tesco's chains the taste seems to have changed. While from the packaging, everything seems to be the same, the actual burger no longer tastes the same. Rather than having that nice chewy taste to it, recently Tesco's finest burgers taste ...  Read the complete review

I don't know what came over me last week....I let my husband come to the supermarket with me. Big mistake! What was I thinking of? He constantly moans, keeps disappearing and tries to sneak unnecessary items into the trolley when my back is turned. Last week was no exception. As I was stood piling all of the shopping onto the conveyor at the checkout, I noticed two yogurts that I most certainly hadn't picked up myself. Noticing the words 'Tesco Finest' emblazoned across the pots, I subsequently went berserk! 'What are these doing here?....What have you got these for?....How much are they?....Tesco Finest? I bet they cost a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Finest Range: The 'Finest' supermarket own brand? (1222 words)

Tesco Finest is the 'posh' range of foods available from Tesco, those which surpass in quality that offered by many branded products let alone the standard Tesco range. The majority of products which Tesco produce under their own label are also available in this more expensive silver packaging, although you may see me writing many Value reviews I can often be found browsing the Finest products as in the main they are absolutely delicious - if not overpriced. Tesco claim their Finest range has been inspired by restaurant cuisine, a fairly hefty statement for what is in essence a supermarket own brand but you can tell that so much work and research has gone ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Worth the extra £££ for some things - definitely not for oth ... (423 words)

Tesco's "finest" range is a range of luxury foods sold under the Tesco brand. Tesco has three different tiers of products - value (the cheapest), just plain "Tesco" (mid-range) and Finest, which is high end products or food made from the best ingredients. Tesco Finest foods tend to be pretty expensive, if you are buying an Italian ready meal such as Spaghetti Carbonara, you can expect to pay around £3.50 - £4 which is a lot for a small portion. I have actually tried the Tesco Finest Carbonara and it's lovely but I could make my own for a lot less money, especially if I was cooking for a few people. The packaging of Tesco Finest ...  Read the complete review

My Experience of Tesco’s Finest Channel Island Milk. I bought this because I am trying to find a milk that I like that doesn’t come from cows that are held in milking pens for cheap supermarket supply. This is from Tesco’s Finest range and can be found near the organic milk section which is normally next to the normal range of milks. It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a gold top which is sealed by one of those Snap and peel thingies that run round the rim of the cap. On the bottle it is described as Rich and creamy Channel Island Milk from Jersey and Guernsey cows. A delicious golden coloured milk perfect with fruit ...  Read the complete review
