Advantages: They're very tasty.... Oh and a little bit naughty :O)
Disadvantages: Well they are full of cream but sooo what! I eat em on my day off being a goody two shoes, so there!!!
I read loads of opinions based around food (I'm a little piggy) that I seem to be suffering with food envy, lol. Yes it's true, every time I read a foody type op I subconsciously add it to my wish list, lol. Well after reading an opinion written by that chicken woman, (yes you Mel, it's all your fault I love these little tubs of pure pleasure, lol.) I simply had to add a few tubs to my shopping basket didn't I! Now the tubs have yoghurt written on the front but like Mel say's in her op I couldn't taste a smidge of it in these gorgeous concoctions. I'd better start by telling you which flavours are available before I dive straight into a taste test hadn't I! The Choice's Are: Scottish Raspberry Yoghurt - tried and loved! Swiss Black Cherry Yoghurt (drool) - tried and loved very much! Wild Blueberry Yoghurt (oh my!) - tried and it's scrummy. Strawberry and Cream Yoghurt - on my wish list :O) Pear and butterscotch Yoghurt - not keen on butterscotch so won?t be trying. Lemon Curd Yoghurt - tried and it's very nice. Read Mel's (cheeky chickens) op. Devonshire Fudge Yoghurt - on the old wish list. Champagne Rhubarb Yoghurt - not sure I like the sound of this one! Bourbon Vanilla Yoghurt - wish list also. So far I've tried 4 out of the 9 available flavours and haven't been disappointed with any of them so far, but I do have a couple which I prefer more than others. I will review just one so I won't bore you all will my drooling waffling tale, lol. Today I am reviewing Tesco's Finest Black Cherry Yoghurt ! The first thing you'll notice is the packaging. A silver tub with a picture of the tempting "yoghurt" on the left hand side. There's a bowl of what looks like thick rich yoghurt and deep red juicy looking cherries surround it, WOW! On the right
it gives the name of the product and also states that is NEW! Well it's new to me anyhoo. The back of the tub informs you of the ingredients and nutritional information etc. Overall I would say the packaging is very eye-catching and makes you want to eat what's inside. Not that I need much convincing mind :O) The taste test: Well I have never tasted yoghurt that's tastes like this before. It's soooo rich and creamy and full of plump juicy cherries. I tried my best to see if I could taste any yoghurt in there and definitely could not. The tub states that it is made with yoghurt and cream. I think maybe they just sort of scared the tub with a spoonful of yoghurt, and then piled in a load of cream cos I can't taste it. Not that I'm complaining mind you, as it is definitely a taste sensation and no mistake! Nutritional Information: Well the down side is it's full of calories or fat if you will. Oh not for those on a diet or are watching their weight (like I'm supposed to be) but as a treat it's just got that something special :O) PER 150g POT Energy>878kj/ 210kcal Protein>5.1g Carbohydrate>24.0g Of which sugars>23.3g FAT>10.4g Of which saturates>6.6g Mono-unsaturates>3.0g Ployunsaturates>0.3g Sodium>0.2g EeEeEEEeeeek! So it's not exactly healthy eating is it? Just don't eat every day and I'm sure you'll enjoy this treat all the more :O) Warning > for those with a nut allergy > this product has been made in a factory, which handles nuts.....(hope they washed their hands after, lol.) ; O). Also the tub says, "every care has been taken to remove cherry stones but some may remain". So be careful! Suitable for vegetarians too so all you veggie's out there will be pleased to get ya chops around this stuff :O) So all that leaves is the price! This will set you
back a whopping 55p for a 150g tub and I consider it money well spent. For more information contact: Tesco Stores Ltd. Cheshunt EN8 9SL UK Or visit their website at > www.tesco.com. Highly recommended :O))

- 15/09/02 On Mels advice, the Lemon Curd one found its way into the trolley the other week ..... It's been finding its way there ever since!!
The Fudge one joined it last week .... wasn't so keen, so the Lemon one will have another flavour to keep it company on its quick journey from supermarket to the stomach and taste buds of idodoyou next week!!
