 ... fishcakes. The fish they use is crab meat and big prawns and they go wicked with the potato and Thai spices because they don't overpower the fishcake like cod or haddock would. The prawns are lovely and juicy even after they've been cooked and there's quite a few in each fishcake, the crab is cut into small cubes and tastes gorgeous and dead fresh. I got these Finest Thai Fishcakes in Tesco last night because they'd been reduced to £1.79. The box is different now and they came in the same silver box as the rest of the Finest range of meals. I was suprised at how small they are because the box is quite bulky but they are fat and you can see by how knobbly the fishcakes are that there is loads of filling in them. They cook in about 20 minutes and look wicked because the batter on them goes a lovely golden brown and you can smell a faint fish smell and spices. My daughter went shopping to Tesco today and when she finally came back to collect the children she softened me up by giving me a box of Thai fishcakes from the Tesco Finest range. They are chilled fishcakes and look very posh because Tesco have made the box look very modern and it has a photograph of a succulent looking fishcake and a close up of a pile of chilli's to tell me that it is an Oriental dish. Fishcakes are one of my favourite foods and I do not mind if they are handmade speciality fishcakes or 99p Iceland ones.
