The potato comes out of the bag in small cylinder shaped pieces, so I emptied an appropriate looking amount into a pan and turned on the heat. The instructions say you can add butter or water while the potato is heating up. As it started to defrost it looked rather dry so I added some water which definitely made all the difference. Mashed potato...perhaps not the most exciting subject for a review, but this is one of these products that surprised me so much I just had to share it. Aren't you lot lucky! I love mashed potatoes, I really do. I can't get enough of the stuff. But let's be honest, proper homemade mashed potato is hardly a convenience food - peel the potatoes, boil them, mash them.
