The cereal consists of wheat flakes mixed with pieces of dried fruit. The fruit consists for the most part raisins, but there are also fragments of coconut, hazelnuts, almonds, apple and dried slices of banana. In my opinion there are too many raisins in this cereal, no doubt they are the cheapest form of dried fruit. This breakfast cereal is consumed in the usual manner. Served in a bowl with the addition of milk. There is no need to add sugar as the flakes already contain added sugar and the dried fruit is also an abundant source. In The Beginning Summer is coming and I no longer need porridge for breakfast to keep me warm throughout the day, I now switch to a summer breakfast of Fruit & Fibre. I used to buy the Kellogg’s variety but as I am watching the pennies a bit these days I decided to stop being so snobby and try the TESCO’s own version. From The Outside The TESCO Fruit & Fibre looks pretty similar to the Kelloggs, at least from the outside. It’s in a purple box, as is the leading brand, and the picture on the front is of the actual cereal itself looking very appetising, with a jug of milk and a few bits of fruit in the background.
