Tesco Fruit Shortcake Biscuits

Description: Manufacturer: Tesco / Type: Biscuits

... they have lots of sugar crystals on top of the biscuits which also add to its sweet taste and give the biscuit a bit of a crunch too and another interesting layer. Now, onto the nutritional values. Each biscuit has 46 calories which is fairly high but not as high as a chocolate biscuit so if you're in the mood for something sweet this is definitely a better choice. A 250g pack in Tesco only costs £0.57 pence which in my opinion is a bargain and definitely a product I recommend!...more

With fruit and shortcake in one biscuit, how can you go wrong! I love biscuit product of any kind but one of my favourite varieties are fruit shortcake biscuits. These can be described as deliciously crumbly shortcake biscuits packed full of currants. Various companies make them, one of the most famous being McVities but I find the generic store bought varieties such as Tesco's are just as good and a little bit cheaper so that's not bad at all! The biscuits are round but have little curves all around the edges which in my opinion give it quite a fancy look and a different look than plain round biscuits. I absolutely love biscuits and get through lots of packets each week which is why I cut my shopping bill down a bit in this area and try shops own brand stuff unless big brands are on offer! I have to say so far that I actually do prefer branded and high quality goods most of the time though when it comes to biscuits and usually it's not worth going economy for on treats! However the other day I purchased these in Tesco's as at 51p a pack they seemed a bit of a bargain and I do like slightly chewy, fruity shortcake biscuits and knew I was going to stuff the lot in one sitting all by myself so I was thinking value as I purchased them! lol.
