Last time we ordered from Tesco the Birds Eye frozen peas we ALWAYS buy were substituted with a bigger bag of these Tesco own brand peas, they cost more than the smaller bag we'd ordered so it was a fair swap but it was annoying because I don't like any others apart from Birds Eye. The peas looked exactly the same as the Birds Eye ones and when they were cooked the looked nice on the plate, they're a fresh green colour and not the manky fake green you get from some cheap peas. The texture of them was a bit mushier than Birds Eye, not that you'd notice much it's just that they felt softer to chew and that was something I wasn't mad on because I like ... Peas please Louise, I often have a packet of Tesco frozen garden peas in my freezer. I think the packaging must have changed since this category was added as it is not such a lush green pack anymore . The product the same just Tesco has updated the pack These garden peas are available in 1kg pack and in a 1.8kg bag. The 1kg bag costs 1.63 The 1.8kg bag £2.82 (£1.57 per kg) so if you have room the bigger bag works out cheaper. I find a bag of peas handy to keep in the freezer as I can easily use as many as I need at any time. Peas are often the vegetable that will be eaten by children.
