Tesco gummy mix
As it nears Halloween its best to be prepared for those ghostly visits. As it begins to get dark you may hear an eerie pitter patter of tiny footsteps on your path, then a timid knocking at the door, a few wails and evil cackles. When you open the door with trepidation you may be met by small eerie people some with witches hats and black capes, some covered in a white sheet with holes for their eyes. They will say trick and treat with what they hope is a tone of menace they hope to frighten you. You may have well mannered ghouls visit you which when you say sorry pet I have no treats. Will just say boo and run away. More devilish children will do something unpleasant. Parents please remember not to encourage your children to do anything bad to anyone they trick and treat. Old people may be frightened and it is not good manners to trash to other peoples property. Your young spookes and spookesses may get into trouble.
It is best for youngsters wishing to celebrate this Halloween only to visit friends and neighbours that they know.
If I get young witches or ghosts visit me I may ask them to bob for apples from my tree in a pail of water, I did this one year the young fiends enjoyed it.
Most youngsters trick and treating are hoping for more than a n apple to bob for so I might buy some sweets this year really cheap ones the haribo range are quite cheap but Tesco gummy sweets work out cheaper at 35p for a 100g pack buy 3 for £1.00 at the mo so young save 5p, Haribo usually work out at 43/45p per 100g.
I think Tesco gummy mix is available in a plastic tub containing 500g but the ones I am thinking of are packaged in a bag weighing 100g this is a blue polythene bag with a clear section so you can glimpse the sweets through it. The sweets are a collection of gummy jelly sweets different shapes and flavours.
In a pack expect to find an assortment of gummy jelly feet, coke bottles, teddy bears, some lips, guitars and other assorted gummy jelly sweets.
I must admit gummy jelly sweets are not my favourite sweets never have been keen on jelly type sweets however young things seem to like them.
Several jelly sweets the haribo ones seem to have a fruity flavour that I can recognise different shapes and colours taste different. However these Tesco gummy sweets are not so flavoursome and you can not really tell the difference between the style and colour of sweets they all taste pretty much the same. I have tasted.
The texture is jelly like and sticky when warm.
However if you come to my house spooking you will not just get offered a bag of Tesco gummy sweets to dip your mucky little paws in , you will have to earn them I will have a bowl full of Tesco’s plain flour in which I have put a few sweets . The witches will have to put their hands behind their backs and dip their faces into the bowl feeling with their lips and teeth for a gummy sweet. A bit of searching and they may find one and will have to pick it up in their mouth and eat it. When your little monsters raise their heads smiling with their success they will have flour everywhere in their hair around their mouths down their smart costumes, heee hee heee I will laugh.
So be warned little spooks come to my house and I will play your game.
I have not got the nutritional values to hand not having bought this years supply. Tesco on line also do not list ingredients. I am sure they contain lots of sugar and lots of colourings. Not very healthy to eat lots but a few will probably do no harm
Summary: cheap gummy jelly shaped sweets
