Advantages: Tasty, good value
Disadvantages: None
I've always been a fan of Kelloggs Crunchy Nut Cornflakes since they first came out, but due to the cost I decided to try these store brand ones instead.

I can't imagine why but the guidelines warn that this product may contain nuts. You'd have to be nuts not to realise that!
The cereal is made up of ordinary cornflakes covered in brown sugar, peanuts and honey. And the taste is absolutely gorgeous, although if you don't like sweet things then you won't agree with that statement at all.
The flakes are always nice and crunchy, and stay crunchy for quite a while after you've poured the milk on them, so unless you accidentally forget about your cereal and leave the bowl for a while, you shouldn't end up with soggy cornflakes at the bottom of your bowl. The peanut pieces aren't huge chunks as you find in muesli, but tiny pieces that you can barely notice when eating, but you can certainly taste them, and combined with the honey it makes the perfect start to the morning.
I was going to write that they were just as good as the Kelloggs version, but actually they're better, because they taste just as good, but they are cheaper, at the moment a 750g box costs £1.75 compared to £2.88 for the same size box of Kelloggs.
Summary: Well recommended

- 06/09/09 I swear they must put some sort of drug in Crunchy Nut cornflakes, the ad is right they do taste too good, but I don't like nuts...or honey!! I'll have to try these instead, sounds like a great saving. |
