I picked up a packet of these Honey Roasted Cashews and Peanuts with the shopping the other day to try out and have been quite pleased with them. I've not had a honey roasted nut mix before so it was a bit of a new venture for me even without the brand switch. They come in big orange bags that weigh 150g and cost about £1.40 for the bag which isn't a bad price considering how long such a big bag can last you. The taste of these is very sweet and salty which I really liked. On the one hand I thought the nuts were very filling and on the other I got a real sweet satisfaction from the honey glaze on these. They do also add ample amounts of sugar though ...

In the past six months I have found an alternative addiction to my usual Tesco honey roast peanuts and cashews - that is Lidl 'Crusti Croc' honey roast peanuts, so I thought I would compare the two. Both products weigh 150g and have an orange coloured foil bag featuring a picture of the product. The Tesco product prominently displays the recommended daily allowance breakdown on the front of the packet, but the Lidl product does not. Since this is such useful (and vital for some consumers) information this is a black mark against Lidl. they have been the favourite bar snack of many, for so long now. peanuts are an enjoyable and reasonably healthy snack, but are you not bored of the same old flavours? salted, salt and vinegar, or dry roasted. All ok, but i think its high time for something different. Some inroads have been made to this in recent times, with the new and exciting flavours available, like mexican, chili, and even curry. However, my favourite snack has recently become honey roasted.
