Being an avid lover of houmous I am always on the look out for new and exciting flavours to try. Houmous is a very healthy food product originating from the Middle East. It is very high in protein, potassium, fibre, vitamin E and antioxidants. Consisting mainly of chickpeas and tahini (a sesame seed paste) these ingredients are crushed and blended to make a spread or dip and then flavoured using garlic and lemon juice.
