There is a tesco store right across the road from me so there is no surprise that I do all the shopping there! This means I have had the chance to sample a wide variety of their products. One of these is the Tesco Jam Tarts.
The am tarts come in a little packet which is mainly blue, a very attractive colour indeed. There is also a clear window so you can get a peak at the products. They looked amazing. Each was round and had a coloured jam in the middle of the beige pastry. Reds and yellows stared at me, I couldnt wait to sample them!
Over a few days I tried each flavour. Now each one had a crumbly dry pasty casing that was quite thin but edible. Though the jams, each one sticky, had a different fruity taste. The strawberry one is my favourite, and is very sweet. The apricot is quie sour, and the blackcurrant didn't taste like blackcurrant at all, but was indeed delicious! They were all tasty in their own way so there is bound to be a flavour for you!
Now these are not overly healthy! Each has 133 calories and 2.8g of fat. Now that maynot seem too appalling but they really are quite thin so you will end up having two or three in one go! But if you do have just one then it is not too bad!
The pack of six tarts costs 53p, which is not too bad, as it is just under 9p a tart! That is quite reasonable and it is not going to break the bank either so no need to worry!
These are delicious and definitely worth a try if you get the chance. But try not to eat the entre six in one go - theyre that good!
