Advantages: Yummy; Loads of sugary dust
Disadvantages: The black one's are really black flavoured
I love Jelly Babies and in Tesco yesterday I couldn't stop myself buying 3 bags of their own brand sweets for £1.00!
I think they're dead nice, the babies are a bit smaller than the Bassetts ones but that doesn't matter because they're lovely and fruity. There are 4 different colours and they are red, green, yellow and black. The only thing that bugs me about these is that the black ones are more purple than they should be and they just taste like a stronger version of the red ones.
The green ones are lime but the taste isn't that strong and even though I hardly ever eat green sweets I don't mind these because they're still nice and sweet instead of being too tangy.
The Jelly Babies have got loads of yummy dusty icing sugar on them and I'm glad about that because I love sugary coating and a lot of the supermarkets are a bit stingy with it. It makes the babies taste proper sweet from the second you put it in your mouth and the jelly is sweet as well but somehow you don't feel overloaded with sugar with these.
I love the texture of the Jelly Babies because the jelly is solid but it's softer to bite and chews up lovely, it goes softer as you chew and I love how juicy the Jelly Babies are when you're chewing.
I've eaten 2 bags since last night and am eyeing up the 3rd for after dinner! lol
Summary: Yummy Jelly Babies That Are As Good As Bassetts!
