Advantages: Cheap, tasty, healthy!

Disadvantages: None!

I love wholemeal pitta bread!!!

First things first, let's get one thing straight. I hate wholemeal bread! Ok, hate is such a mild word. I abhor wholemeal bread!!!

Naturally, I assumed that I would hate wholemeal pitta as well, but surprisingly enough I prefer wholemeal pittas to white ones!

I find that white pittas can sometimes be a little floury or tasteless. Wholemeal pittas are nothing like that, they have more texture and have a richer taste to them.

They are not overly 'wholemeal', rather a hint of it. Which is great as you can eat something that you know is good for you without having to compromise on taste.
My son even likes them, which is saying something, as he is going through one of those awful phases where he won't eat anything unless it has a similar nutritional value to that of sausage and chips!

They are also very versatile as you can have them hot or cold and you can even slice them up and use for dipping. You get 6 in a pack, they all tend to be slightly different sized, but each one is big enough for a good meal when filled. They cost 47p (I think its 47p, 40 something, anyway!), so are a very cheap option; especially when you consider that a decent sized loaf can be £1.50 nowadays.

Each pitta contains:
145 calories
1.5g fat
6.7g protein
5.2g fibre

As you can see, they are quite a healthy choice and they taste great too; so when you factor in the price as well, you can't go wrong really, can you?

Highly recommended!!!

Summary: Try them, you may be pleasantly suprised

I love these too, the wholemeal ones are so much tastier and (as you say) they're not too wholemeal tasting anyway.
