Advantages: Thick creamy sauce
Disadvantages: None
I buy ready meals to take to work as they are easy, quick and convinient.
As I am on a diet I normally buy the Weight Watchers things but they were becoming expensive so I decidede to try some of the Tesco Light Choice things.
I had this on friday for my lunch and was impressed by it as I did not care much for the Weight Watchers one.
The pack contains: 447 calories, 7.2g sugar, 8.8g fat.
The ingredients include: Pasta, Tomato, Beef, Tomato Puree, Onion, Cornflour, Red Wine, Beef Stock, Carrot, Celery, Balsamic Vinegar, Garlic Puree, Basil, Salt, Oregano and Black Pepper.
They can be kept refrigerated till the sell by date or can be frozen. They can be cooked from frozen as well.
They can be cooked in the oven or microwave.
Microwave from frozen- In a 750 watt microwave you cook on full power for 11 minutes and then alow to stand for a minute before eating.
Microwave- In a 750 watt microwave you will need to cook on full power for 5 ½ mins.
Oven from frozen- 35-40 minutes at 190°C
Oven- 15-20 minutes at 190°C
This I find is much tastier than the Weight Watchers meal and I do not like Onions but I found that the onions in this were very small and I could not taste them much. The sauce is thick and creamy and the portion size is enough to fill in the gap at lunchtime.
The price of this approx £1.50 each but Tesco often have special offers on them
Summary: Much nicer than the Weight Watchers meal
