Trying to get back on the straight and narrow again with my eating habits after over indulging throughout the festive season, I thought I would take Tesco up on their offer of 5 for £4 on their new Healthy Choices Ready Meals Range. I don't normally buy ready-made meals as I never find them very satisfying and usually feel they are a bit overpriced, but at the normal price of 99p each or 5 for £4 I thought I would give them a try. The first one I tried was the Tesco Healthy Choices Sweet Chilli Chicken. Sounds good, so let's see what I found. ==Packaging== Packaged in the usual black plastic carton with film lid and cardboard sleeve ... Read the complete review

Well, I have tried a few Tesco 'ready' type meals including the ones in the Light choice range. The other day whilst looking through the freezer isle (starving hungry) I saw these meals. I already fancied a chinese and after seeing these 'Light Choices' ready chinese meals that were at just a snip at the price and much healthier, I thought go on! I picked up 2 as they were on an offer, the sweet chilli chicken and noddles and the sweet chicken chilli with rice. When I got home I simply popped it in the oven whilst unpacking the rest of my shopping. I think that I had to put it in for 15 minutes and then remove, stir then pop back in for a further 20 ... Whilst trying to be a little healthier a few months ago yet live on ready meals at the same time I came across Tesco Light Choices Sweet Chilli Chicken & Noodles. I decided to try it because I really like chicken and the whole meal sounded delicious. I normally find that Tesco's products are quite good quality although their ready meals seem to lack taste. This was from a new range though; the Tesco Light Choices to try and help people be healthier, I think they probably only bought out this range because the government has become a lot stricter about ready meal quality and health levels lately. Anyway it comes in a box of about 400g which was on offer at ... Read the complete review

I don't buy a lot of frozen meals from Tesco, as I don't find their range that exciting. I much prefer Asda, but this caught my eye the other week and I decided it would be good for tea. Being back on my diet again I scanned the nutritional information, found it would be suitable and ended up buying it. It cost £1 for the 400g meal. Often Tesco has a 5 meals for £4 on a large-ish range of their £1 meals, but I only wanted the 1 thing. As I mentioned this was found in the Freezer section. The meal was in a black plastic tray covered in a film lid. The lot was in a cardboard box. The box was alright. It was mostly blue in colour and has the pretty ... Read the complete review
