Crowned Review Tesco Low Fat Peanut Butter: Imported From England With Love (783 words)

Peanut butter rocks my world at times, especially when I’m abroad, but although it’s packed full of essential protein, it also has a fair amount of fat. This is the only low fat version I have found so far, which is why, despite being a few countries over from the UK, my cupboard is full of the stuff. Fact File: • Only available from Tesco UK (not in the Czech, Hungarian or Slovakian stores), in store or online at www.tesco.com • 1.19 GBP / 340g jar. That’s actually cheaper (per 100g) than the usual full fat version, though you may not think so in the shop because of differences in jar sizes. • ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Crunchy Low Fat Value Peanut Butter Which Wont Break The Ban ... (638 words)

I was shopping in my local Tesco recently which had just undergone a total refurbishment. While browsing I discovered an entire aisle dedicated to their "value" range of products. I was actually quite amazed at the number of basic everyday essentials that they sold. Usually these products can be found underneath their more expensive counterparts and up to this point I have to say a lot of them had gone unnoticed by myself over the years. I purchased a few of these items and it is these that I will be reviewing over the next few weeks or so. We are huge fans of peanut butter in our household. In fact if I don't have a jar somewhere there is usually ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Low Fat Peanut Butter: It's peanut butter just with less fat! (448 words)

As I am house sitting at present it gave me the opportunity to stock up one lots of yummy things from Tesco and get them delivered (saves lugging all the heavy shopping home!). Peanut Butter is one of my must have items as it helps me keep up my levels of fibre with 0.8g of fibre per 15g serving in this particular one and 85 calories & 5.8g of fat (1.3g which saturates). Providing it's enjoyed in moderation I can have this every day for my breakfast on my toast or in my sandwich at lunchtime. Tesco 25% Less Fat Peanut Butter is provided in a clear glass jar with a screwable blue plastic lid & a blue paper label showing ingredients, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sugar sandwiches anyone? (353 words)

While doing some reading and rating on dooyoo I just realised I missed lunch. Planning a sandwich but unsure of the filler I had a look in the cupboard and noticed a jar of Tesco Reduced Fat Smooth Peanut Butter. Easy and quick I decided to have some. I also noticed the jar was almost completely full and I'd stuffed this to the back of the cupboard. All will be revealed shortly.. First the nutritional stats, this has 25% less fat than standard peanut butter which means 5.8g per tablespoon, 85 calories, 2.5g sugar, 1.3g saturates and a trace of salt. A tablespoon is quite alot though so most people probably wouldn't go for that amount. The jar ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Low Fat Peanut Butter: Smooth Nuts (248 words)
by - written on 10/10/08 (Very useful, 111 readings)
Rating:

The taste of Tesco Low Fat peanut butter is fine, maybe not as good as Sun Pat Peanut butter, nor does it meet the high standards of Whole Earth Smooth Peanut butter. However, this is a low fat version that has 25% less fat than normal Tesco's peanut butter. For example, Tesco Crunchy peanut butter contains 51g of fat per 100g and this 25% less smooth version contains 38g per 100g - still quite a lot of fat if you ask me, so if you're weary of piling on the pounds you should still pay attention to how much you eat. It is certainly tasty enough to eat by itself on a piece of bread or toast with butter, margarine or jam. This peanut butter has a smooth texture and has no ...  Read the complete review
