My boyfriend has a lot of wonderful qualities but frankly being a good cook is not one of them. Which is why it was with some trepidation that I accepted his invitation to go 'round to his for dinner last night. On the menu? Tesco Macaroni and Cheese served with oven chips. The way my partner prepared this was to first heat it up in the microwave and then grate a bit of extra cheese to go on top and put it in the oven for a few minutes with the oven chips. I think this worked well as the cheese on top got nice and browned and the macaroni on top also dried out a bit and gained some texture. Perhaps it was my low expectations but strangely enough ... I love macaroni cheese, but I'm usually far too lazy to prepare the 'proper' version. On a particularly lazy day I decided to try the Tesco's own tinned version of macaroni cheese. I wish I hadn't bothered... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The packaging is as shown on the dooyoo picture. The label contains some strange artistic attempt at a villa in the countryside; I wonder if this is supposed to imply that it is in anyway an equivalent to Italian pasta? I'll get straight to the point; this stuff was terrible! On opening the tin, I was greeted by a strange smell; probably best described as 'mildly cheesy feet'. ... Read the complete review

My twelve year old granddaughter is absolutely obsessed with Macaroni Cheese, she'll eat it in any form from freshly made (a'la Nan as her mother hasn't the patience or time to be making fresh cheese sauce with three children to run around after) to frozen to tinned so I always try to have a tin of the Heinz brand in the cupboard in case she fancies a snack when she visits. I must have picked this Tesco Macaroni Cheese up by accident in the supermarket as when she asked for some today it was this I pulled out. Now, personally I think any tinned pasta is foul and this one really takes the biscuit in foulness. Everything about it is awful; the sweaty sock ... Read the complete review

I always try not to buy lunch when I'm at work because although £2.00 is not a lot of money, add it up every working day & it works out at over £2000 a year. With this in mind, I always eat sandwiches. That is unless me or my wife could be bothered to make them. When this happens I have a tin of some sort of pasta. This is one of the tins I eat. Tesco's Macarone & Cheese has Macarone Pasta in a Cheese sauce. It can be cooked in a Microwave in around three minutes & is pretty filling. ! tin can feed one adult on its own as a light meal. It tends to cast around the 50p mark at my local Tesco. I think it tastes fine. The pasta which has ... Read the complete review

I have always been a huge fan of macaroni cheese, being a vegetarian it is a really easy meal and one that is readily available in all shops and corner shops. I am normally spoilt as my Mum makes an excellent cheese sauce, but I have tried several ready made dishes which do compare to this. I was going on a camping trip and decided to stock up on food that was easy to cook on a camping stove so that I did not have to spend too much money on food. I saw this and thought how easy it would be to cook, and it was cheap to. Tesco Macaroni comes in a pretty can. It has a picture of the actual dish on the ouside and an Italian style landscape ...
