... more like the fish fingers I had when I was a kid instead of all the posh battered and breaded fish fingers you get now. They cook in about 20 mins in the oven or you can fry or grill them. I do mine in the oven and turn them halfway to make sure they are cooked all the way through. They taste good whether you have them with chips or on a butty. The fish is dead nice and the breadcrumbs have got a nice wheaty taste, they've got paprika in them but that must be just for the colouring because there's no spice or any...more

Premium Review Tesco Value Fish Fingers: Cheap At Half The Price (420 words)

I've just had a wicked fish finger butty and the best thing is that it was made out of the cheapest fish fingers available, Tesco Value fish fingers that cost 47p for 10. They don't sell them in boxes of 15 anymore like the picture Dooyoo have put up shows but I reckon boxes of 10 are better because they are easier to fit in the freezer. They are really nice and I can't see the sense in buying the mega expensive fish fingers because even though they are not cod they are still good and taste like good quality fish fingers. The breadcrumbs are very orange and that makes them more like the fish fingers I had when I was a kid instead of all the posh battered ...  Read the complete review

Before I start this review please let me assure you that my Value hunting doesn't usually extend to my granddaughters' food, but in this instance they actually ask me to buy these cheap fish fingers as they think the breadcrumb coating is much better even than the extremely high priced Birds Eye Fish Fingers. At 47p for ten fish fingers, the Value range have really come up trumps with this product in my opinion and once you get past the internal stigma of buying such 'cheap fish' then you'll realise you're certainly onto a winner with this buy. The fish fingers are slightly smaller than other more expensive brands, this isn't terribly obvious while they are ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Fish Fingers: I've never seen a fish with fingers.... (807 words)

I absolutely love fish fingers! I'm sure cos when I was growing up I never had them! Whilst my friends had fish fingers, chips and beans, and egg and chips when I was young my Mum always bought 'expensive' foods. We always had King prawn salads and beef bourgion and stuff like that and I'm going back years when it was really unheard of to eat that way! I used to love going to my friends house for 'kids' food and my mates in return used to love coming to mine lol. Nowadays at almost 35 years old I have much more control over my diet and soon as I had a choice I started eating all the stuff I never had (hence me stuffing myself silly with junk food and economy ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ultimate diet comfort food! (452 words)

Another value review guys! Tesco value fish fingers are a new staple in my home, first eaten for money saving reasons and are likely to continue to make an appearance even after we graduate. I'm going to forgo my usual headings and show the good and the bad. *THE GOOD* Most importantly, these are really tasty. The fish has enough flavour to taste like fish but not so much that kids will think they're "stinky". There is a thick covering of breadcrumbs which tastes cheap and seasoned-a divine combination for comfort food. Speaking of comfort food, these aren't going to ruin the diet. They are 44 calories per finger, so ...  Read the complete review

Inexpensive, Trustworthy ingredients, Suitable for kids None really, just slightly different to mini-milks in taste, and not in a bad way.

Cheap, flavoursome, tastes no different to any other corned beef No good for vegetarians

Delicious, uses a good sweet pickling vinegar, attractive slices The occasional slice is hard

Hold the fillings very well, clever resealable packet Blander than other wraps, slightly too big

Tastes great, very healthy Poor packaging, maybe too much tomato juice for some?
