I don't usually like to buy frozen mince because it just doesn't taste as good as the fresh stuff. I also like my mince to be in lumps, if you know what I mean, instead just bits in gravy. However when I saw the Tesco Value frozen minced beef at £1.48 for a 750 gram pack, I decided to give it a try although it does look pretty basic in its plastic bag. When I opened it, I must admit that it looked reasonable enough, so I friend off some chopped onions in a little oil, and then added the minced in my usual manner. After reading a review about this by Katykicker, I decided it was worth a try. If you've been reading my reviews, you will know that I like to save money with food, and don't mind trying cheaper brands, as you never know what you will end up liking. Looking back I wasn't sure why I tried this Mince, as I am very very fussy about my Mince, but I guess when I see a bargain, and have a couple of spare pound, then I will always give it a go. This was in the Freezer section of my local Tesco. Normally a no-no for me, as I buy fresh Mince, but again it is worth the research surely. The pack is 750g and I paid £1.58 for it. I am shopping on a very tight budget lately as I am saving all of my money for a deposit to move somewhere by the end of next month. I paid £1.31 for a 750g packet of Tesco Market Value Mince but I have today checked the Tesco website and this has gone up to £1.59 which is quite a jump in price for just 1 week and hopefully the price will go back down again before my next purchase. The mince is contained within a plastic bag that is quite thick and has a clear panel on the front so that you can see the mince and it has the Tesco Market Value logo (slightly different to that of the picture) and then it contains cooking instructions, nutritional ...
