... admit that it doesn't look particularly appetising before it goes into the oven and this doesn't improve a whole lot once it's cooked. ***The Cooking Time*** On average, these pizzas take around 15 minutes to cook if you're putting them in the oven from cold (ie the oven hasn't previously been switched on). If the oven has already been on, I'd say that it takes anything from 8 to 10 minutes. However, these can be quite deceptive in that they look cooked, but if you were to try to cut the pizza you'd immediately no...more

Premium Review Tesco Mini Pizza Ham & Cheese: Not keen on the taste of these! (425 words)

I'm a big fan of food that I can just put in the oven and cook quickly so these seemed like a good bet. I'm not particularly fussy when it comes to pizzas, but I wasn't very keen on these ones. ***The Appearance*** As you may be able to tell from the product image above, the crust is quite thick. The rest of the pizza is quite thin though (the base in general) and the cheese/tomato/ham topping is more sparse than it looks in the product image. I've eaten a few of these now and in my experience, the cheese and tomato isn't as generous as it could be and the ham chunks are just randomly dotted about on top. I have to admit that it doesn't look particularly ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review MINI PIZZA MINI TASTE!! (620 words)

Well one night on my way home a bit later than usual I popped into my local Tesco's and noticed that they had a lot of reduced items in the fridge on the end.I spotted these mini pizza's, now normally I wouldn't give these a second glance as my family now consists of an all adults household so they just wouldn't be of any use for filling them up. On seeing that they where now reduced to just 10p and they had stacks of the things I grabbed 6 and took them home with me. Now these mini pizza's are fresh and not frozen which is good as it means you can then freeze them if you wish. So I chucked 4 in the freezer as the sell by date was that day and cooked the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Mini Pizza Ham & Cheese: Mamma Mia, no pizza for me-ah - please! (406 words)

I buoght these this morning for my sons to have for lunch today as they are quick to prepare and for 46p each there are worse things I could feed them (or so I thought!). These are available in either cheese and tomato or cheese and ham. I am actually reviewing the cheese and tomato ones. They are found in the chiller section of the supermarket, with the other pizzas and come with minimal packaging (which is good), just the platic wrapper with a sticker on. You can see the pizza through the wrapping, it looks ok. Nothing special, but they are cheap. I have previously bought the Tesco Value Frozen pizzas and thought they were surprisingly good ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A PIZZA FOR MY CHIHUAHUA (343 words)

God knows what made me reach for one of these in Tesco through the week. It's not that these are that bad or anything, but I remember having these when I was younger, and they weren't the most exciting Pizza ever. Most Supermarkets have these in the chiller section with the larger Pizzas. This little one cost me 45p. I just grabbed it and chucked it into the Microwave when I got home, as I was after a bit of a snack. The Pizza is on a thin bit cardboard and the whole thing is wrapped in cellophane. You can see most of the Pizza through the pack and although it looked kinda thin, there was a decent amount of Ham one this. The Tomato base looked a bit sparingly ...  Read the complete review
