I've seen these Mushroom burgers in my local Tesco's for months and months and have always failed to be tempted by them. As much as I love mushrooms the whole mushroom burger thing just didn't appeal in anyway. They also didn't look very appealing or tasty in their uncooked form. Recently however I have become increasingly bored of a lot of the quick veggie food on offer. While I try not to eat this type of convenience food too offer, it is really handy to have in the fridge on nights when I have cooked a meat meal for the rest of the family and can't face cooking something from fresh for myself. I make no secret of the fact that I would love to be vegetarian but have no willpower! I can do it for a bit but then smell sizzling bacon and before I know it I've eaten it and feel bad so no longer do I try and be one, I simply try my best to eat healthy and if I can avoid meat for a bit and look for tasty alternatives. The other day I saw these priced at £1.31 a packet (for 2) and decided to give them a whirl! The Packaging.... Black oblong tray with the two burgers sat in it and a olive green sleeve that slides on/off it.
