Tesco Nutty Nougat Caramel Bar

I have recently been trying to save a few pennies on the supermarket shopping bill and this has involved buying various supermarket own brands. Me and the boyfriend both love our chocolate but as the big name choccie bars can be a bit on the pricey side we were happy to give these a go. These Tesco Nutty Nougat Caramel bars are part of a range that imitates well known chocolate bars but for a credit crunch friendly price. Tesco Nutty Nougat Caramel Bars are one of the tastier Tesco own chocolate bars available. They come in two different packets, in multibags of fun size bars for £1.06 for a 280g bag, or in standard snack sized bars at £1.05 for 8 bars. The funsize bars are nice little bite size treats that I often get in the mixed multipacks. Okay, actually they are the daughter's and grandson's but a hungry grandad is not a happy grandad, and theft is justified when you pay most of the bills. When I was visiting my mum a few weeks a go, I found a pack of these in the cupboard. At first I nearly dropped dead because my mother is a huge brand name snob, she will usually not even consider a store own make but I guess like most people, the credit crunch is getting to her too! The bars are exactly like a Snicker which is my favourite chocolate bar of all time so I suppose I would be it's harshest critic! The munchies often attack while I am working at my desk. And they are generally of the chocolate-craving variety. Once they make themselves known, I cannot concentrate until I have not only acknowledged their existance, but given in to them. This is Tesco's version of Mars Snickers Bars. Tesco do others in the range such as versions of Mars Bars, Twix's and Milky Way. So far my fav in the range is the Milky Way version, but this has it's good parts as well. You can now buy these in a 4 pack, but i'm unsure of the price, as i've got in the habit of buying the Snack Sized pack, which has 8 Bars in it and costs £1.15. Tesco often has an offer of 3 packs through the range for £3, so a little saving to be had! The packaging of these isn't that eyecatching.
