... type I had seen before - an almost-orange brown coloured ring, which could fit snug in the centre of your palm. They looked fine, but to make sure they were indeed edible I thought it best if I give them a taste. Although I don't really like Onion Rings I popped one in my mouth and began to chew. Straight away it gave off a very strong flavour of 'onion ring', which I find always seems to taste of a combination of beef and cheese. They were quite crunchy - and remained that way for the rest of the night too, not goin...more

Premium Review Tesco Onion Rings: Rings of delight? (850 words)

I know some people who could sit and eat packet and packet of crisps. I just don't know how they do it! I find I eat one packet of crisps and I feel sick. It's not that I don't like them; it's just that I cannot stomach them! They always seem to make me feel really lethargic, which is never a nice feeling. Chocolate on the other hand, now that is a totally different story! I was having a few friends round however, and being the good hostess that I am, I decided best to get some 'nibbles' in so my guests didn't get too hungry and leave! At first I wasn't sure what to get, but when I was walking down the crisp aisle in Tesco I spotted something that seemed perfect! It ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I CAN SCOFF THE BAG IN 1 GO (280 words)

Onion Rings are probably my favourite Crisps. The only bad side is that they aren't that easy to eat on a Crisp Roll, as you can't squash them down as well. But I can happily open a large bag of these and munch them while watching the tv and probably finish them myself. My husband loves them too, so we often have them in the house. I like Tesco's ones as well as Asda and Sainsbury's. You get these for 76p for a 150g bag. The bag is alright looking. It stands out on the shelf with it's bright green colouring. You see the orange colour Onion Rings on the front arranged in a bowl. Looks good. When you open the pack you smell the Onion right ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Onion Rings: Beware of rancid onion breath! (328 words)

Andrew and I love onion rings and although we don't tend to crisps in the house, we do buy them every now and again as a treat. These onion rings will set you back around 80p for 150g bag. When you open the packet, the smell is very strong and get's your tastebuds going. When you peer into the packet you are met with big orange hoops that resemble the type of onion rings that you get in bar alongside a steak. Some are perfect circles whilst others look a little 'squwif'. The taste of the onion rings are far from subtle and match the strong and overwhelming smell that I mentioned when you open the packet. They taste like a real pickled onion except ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tasty But Addictive... (300 words)

Tesco Onion Rings are a bit TOO good. A 150g bag costs 80p, and this is meant to be a large bag that lasts your for at least five servings. Sadly this just can't seem to happen with me, and I blame the MSG content rather than my lack of will power! These are super tasty little corn snacks. Each onion ring is crisp, crunchy and with a really strong but rather sweet onion taste. I find they're especially nice when dipped in a sour cream or mayonnaise based dips that include either chives or garlic (or both). The taste is strong and immediate when you eat these, and it lasts nicely in the mouth after eating as well. There's no unusual after taste ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Onion Rings: Step Away From Those Onion Rings and No One Will Be Harmed (488 words)

I bought these for my daughter's 18th birthday party - two or three packets - and I very nearly scoffed them all myself. I was like one of those possessive dogs that snarls or snaps when you go too close when it is chewing on something tasty. A teenager would approach the buffet table looking interested in the plastic bowl containing the onion rings (that I was hovering over and speed eating) and I would growl a warning. They were mine...all mine. So, yes, I like them. Quite a lot actually. I try to eat healthily and they are a trashy junk food and I love them. I wish I had some here now.
