Advantages: Tasty, Cheap, Well Wrapped

Disadvantages: Fatty

Tesco Orange Chocolate Sandwich Biscuits are an absolute bargain buy and one of the cheaper Tesco products that I've been really pleased with. They cost £1.05 for a packet of 14 bars, which works out at just 8p each. That's only 2p more per bar than the rather vile Tesco Value biscuit bars.

These bars come individually wrapped in bright orange wrappers, inside their multipack wrapper. The wrappers are sturdy and have withstood quite a lot of being thrashed around during transit by yours truly. I think it makes them ideal for use in lunchboxes or bags, as some biscuit bars with cheap wrappers just don't manage even short journeys.

Inside each wrapper, the bars are about as thick as your average biscuit bar, say a Fox's Triple or a Rocky bar (though a different shape of course). These appear to be a little bit on the thin side, but the big flavour more than makes up for that.

The milk chocolate on these is much better quality than I was expecting. I'm not a fan of a lot of Tesco chocolate products, but I think this tastes pretty decent. Perhaps part of that is because of the way it compliments the biscuit and orange cream flavour so well.

The chocolate biscuit is quite crumbly and crunchy, but there's plenty of moisture in there to keep it bound firmly together. In between the two layers of chocolate biscuit there's a good generous helping of orange cream. The orange cream is sweet but not too sugary, and it's got a really powerful, fruity flavour to it that I really like.

I think these are a real bargain buy, and I'll happily continue to buy them in the future. They make great snacks for adults, and aren't bad as treats for kids either. Each bar has 130 calories, 6.4g of fat and 10g of sugar. They're a far cry from being healthy but they're better than a standard bar of chocolate - and more filling too.

Summary: Highly Recommended

I love orange clubs and these sound similar.
