Advantages: grandkids like it

Disadvantages: none

My grandkids love jelly and often when they visit I will make some for them. Sometimes I will make a trifle others a jelly with fruit in and often just a plain jelly. One of my grandchildren does not like bits in her jelly.

I usually buy tesco own jelly its cheaper and just as good as named jellies really 28p for 135g the 38p for Hartley jelly.

This orange jelly is a block jelly it is in cubes that you pull apart, bet you can not resist putting a cube in your mouth.

Making a jelly is easy. Just pull apart the jelly put in a bowl; I use my Pyrex measuring jug pour in just enough water to cover the jelly and stir the jelly will melt in the hot water. People often confuse melting and dissolving but jelly will not dissolve in cold water it needs to be hot to melt it.
Making jelly is good fun with children once the water has cooled a bit let them have a stir. When the jelly has all melted pour some cold water in up to 570ml /1pint.
This jelly does smell pleasantly of oranges while you are making it. Put the jelly into an attractive bowls seperate bowls or into your trifle, Use yoghurt pots and cover with cling film, your child can take these to school for lunch then.
Jelly will need to be made in advance of eating a couple of hours in fridge should set it. I have popped mine in freezer to speed it up a bit or added ice cubes instead of water to the melted jelly.

This tesco orange jelly is quite goods tastes orange like is an orange colour. Has 65 calories per 100g and only a trace of fat.

Let me leave you with a jelly rhyme

I eat lots of jelly
While I watch the telly
It goes straight into my belly,
No not into my welly.

Sorry about that but the grandkids love the silly words,

Summary: An orange flavoured jelly .
