“ Manufacturer: Tesco „
Found in the freezer section of Tesco, this is an ok Pizza but there is so many better ones out there than this. I think this costs £1.40 for the 9" Pizza which never seems to be on a special offer. Since I just wrote about the brand named Pizza being on offer, then I would always buy brand if it was cheaper than the Supermaket own brand. It makes sense as it is normally nicer.
You cook this in the oven for about 20 minutes and this does it just nice.
This has a thin base which gets quite crispy when cooked. I often cook this on the bottom of the oven for about 7 minutes to get the base nice and crisp, and then move to the top to continue cooking this and this ends up tasting good for me.
There isn't that much topping on this. The Tomato base seems quite a small scraping, The Cheese on top covers the Pizza and there is no uncovered bits, but a bit more scattering wouldn't have hurted, and the Pepperoni on top is only about 6 slices. The slices are quite large and round, but a few more would have made this nicer. There is some Peppers on here too. I wish they would lay off the peppers as i'm not a huge peppers fan, but I think most of them do this for cheapness, but I end up taking some of them off as I don't mind just a few.
This makes an ok Pizza, but there is so many more nicer ones out there, that I would tend to leave this in the freezer.
My sister had a couple of her little mates round yesterday so I thought I'd surprise them with a pizza and some garlic bread, I knew we had a couple of these Tesco Pepperoni Pizzas in the freezer so I used them. Let me just say now that the box is COMPLETELY different to the picture Dooyoo have got up, this comes in a red box and shows a pizza with a slice being lifted off it. Also it doesn't have peas on the pizza like the one above! lol
It's a deep pan pizza and takes about 20 mins to cook, I left mine in for an extra 5 mins just to get the pepperoni a bit browner and when it was cooked the smell coming out of the oven was enough to get me dribbling!
It's a nice looking pizza when it's cooked, the cheese has spread out good and there are loads of circles of pepperoni all over the top. I love how you can see the tomato sauce round the cheese because for me that means the pizza won't have a dry taste, sometimes there's hardly any sauce on these supermarket pizzas and then you might as well have cheese on toast!
The base is soft and springy, it's loads nicer than I thought it would be because frozen pizza usually has a stodgier base that doesn't cook very well. This one is wicked though and so soft that when you bite through it your teeth force some of the cheese and tomato flavours into the base..... yummy!!! The cheese is stringy and goes a lovely golden brown while you're cooking it.
The pepperoni for me has got a perfect flavour, it's not too spicey but has still got a nice kick to it. It tastes nice and meaty and even though there's a bit of grease on the top of each piece of pepperoni it's not majorly oily like some of them are.
I think this pizza is brill for the price, it's only £1.50 and cut up into 6 big slices. The flavour and quality would make you think it was a more expensive pizza and I proper enjoyed eating it. At the minute these pizzas are on special offer where you can buy 3 for £4.00 so it's deffo worth stocking up even though it's not a massive saving.
These pizzas are very simple to make you just open the cardboard box, remove the plastic wrapping & then place in a hot oven for around 15-20 minutes (depending on how crispy you like it).
These are available from Tesco for £1.49 and are regularly on offer at 3 for £4.00 or similar deals. There are 510 calories and 18.7g fat per pizza so this is enjoyed in moderation. I tend to eat half of one of these with my other half along with some chips or salad or something similar.
The pizza has a nice firm base and it is relatively thick. There is quite a lot of pepperoni on top (about 7 or 8 pieces) and some small chunks of green & red peppers. The pepperoni is very tasty and went lovely and crisp when the pizza was cooking. The peppers are not really my favourite part so I tend to take these off my half of the pizza. My other half commented that they were just standard peppers and nothing special. The tomato sauce on the base is quite nice and has a slight spice to it without being overpowering. The base is lovely and crispy and tastes very nice. Overall this was quite a nice pizza and the only complaint really would be the small amount of cheese that you get but then I guess it is helping to save a few calories.
I would definitely recommend this pizza, it's tasty and fairly quite & simple to make. I occasionally add additional toppings to give it a little extra flavour. I think that these are great value for money and I will definitely be buying them again. This was not the highest quality pizza I've ever had for this price so I am therefore rating it 4/5.
i do love pizza, especially pepperoni and at two for £2.50 these pizzas are an absolute bargain!
They are simple and easy to do, simply take out of the box, removve the plastic and slide them into the oven! all the instructions are on the packet anyway. When takeaway pizza is so expensive it seems stupid to buy it when you can make it at home for a fraction of the price and without much more effort!
The base is thin and crispy, and unlike some cheaper pizzas it doesn't have that biscuity texture which i really hate. The tomato sause is thick and really flavoursome, and there is a fair amount of cheese (if you like it really cheesy its very easy to grate some extra over the top). There is a decent amount of pepperoni on it, and the pepperoni does actually have some flavour to it rather than tasting of plastic.
Myself i always but some black pepper and herbs on top to finish it off! and is nice hot, or cold leftovers
I always get at least one of these and also a magherita version for myself and my boyfriend. He always has the pepperoni.
Its so cheap, sometimes tescos put this on special offer for 2 pizzas for 2pounds. Otherwise they are usually no more than 1.50 for a pizza which is excellent when you compare them to how much the branded ones cost.
The taste is great, there is a lot of pepperoni and peppers, they are generous with the toppings. In my opinion there could be more cheese, but then I am so addicted to mozerella it could be just me, as my boyfriend loves these pizzas.
They taste best if you cook them from frozen, for about 15 mins in a hot oven about 190 degrees. The cheese melts nicely and the edges go a bit brown, they are a bit soggy in the middle, because of the sauce and the fact that there is always more cheese put in the middle.
I find they are quite hard to cut with my pizza cutter. Perhaps its because they are frozen and not fresh.
I think they are great value for money, and although its not as good as going to an Italian resturant for the real deal, its the next best alternative.
Its also great for people on a budget because it is cheap, but they dont compromise on flavour.
As I am a pig, I usually manage one pizza to myself and my boyfriend also has one and helps me with mine as well!
We picked up a Tesco Pepperoni Pizza to have for dinner the other day. We're quite a big family so it was handy that they had an offer on for 2 for £2.50! Usually these are £1.35 each though so that's only a small saving.
These pizzas are great and quick to get cooked. Remove them from their box, take off the plastic and put them in the oven at 200 degrees for twenty minutes. The only thing I did find though was that it helped to take them out and slice them down the middle when they got brown around the edges as the middle seemed to need a bit longer to cook than the edges.
There was plenty of pepperoni on the pizza which I was pleased with as you don't want to compromise on that of all things just because you've bought a shop's own brand. There was a bit too much pepper though for my liking though my family all loved that there was lots of it.
Two pizzas served a family of five nicely along with a bit of salad (the Mrs makes me every now and again). I think one pizza is enough for two adults and two kids if you're having it with some chips or salad though. For the price, this is brilliant.
Pizza, the great junk food that it seems the U.K is growing fonder of by the day. I too like to eat pizza and like I do with most things, I enjoy making my own even starting the dough from scratch, or sometimes I will use rolls cut in half to make mini pizzas. However my husband and I were having friends round so I wanted to do something a little classier and chose to go and buy a Tesco pepperoni pizza. I know that most people will think of this as being really low quality and not at all classy but I always find Tesco products to be really good. I wasn't let down on this occasion and found the pizza to be really good quality.
The pizza comes in a thin blue box and contains 398g of pizza for just £1.15 and at the moment they are currently 2 for £2. The box has a huge picture of a pepperoni pizza on it and the words "New Recipe" plus the Tesco logo. On the back there are the ingredients, nutritional information and cooking instructions.

It's really simple to cook the pizza:

Take it out of the freezer and out of its packaging
Put it on a large tray
Place in the centre of the oven for 12-14 minutes.
The pizza smells amazing whilst it's cooking, mouth watering. It tastes just as good. The pizza base is quite thin but it is nice and soft, I always prefer soft pizzas to those with a crunchy base. There is a thin covering of tomato on the base and it contains some herbs which are nice but could probably be a bit stronger. Then there are some chunks of red and green peppers which go very nicely with the tomato, a lot of cheese which melts over it all very easily and some large pieces of pepperoni. Very nice! It all tasted good, not to much slat or sugar and you could taste the individual toppings quite well.
These are a thin base pizza covered with a tomato sauce with pieces of pepperoni scattered all over it. There are a few herbs and garlic in the tomato sauce not much just a hint There is a grating of mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the top of the pizza.
Overall I give this pizza a 9 out of ten, it only lost one point because it could do with a few more herbs. A great pizza!
