Prawn crackers are a prawn flavoured crispy snack very popular to eat alongside a Chinese meal. We used to buy prawn crackers in their dried form from our local Chinese supermarket and fry them to get them to puff up into the prawn crackers you get from the Chinese takeaway. However recently after we ran out of prawn crackers we saw these in Tesco and thought we would give them a try. They cost 70p for a 60g bag. The prawn crackers come ready to eat in a 60g foil packet. If you have never had them they are white usually oval shaped snacks which taste of prawn. These prawn crackers are really nice. They are crispy as you bite into them but then they melt ... I don't tend to eat Prawn Crackers like I would Crisps. I just can't seem to sit down with a bag and just eat them the same, but I do like to have some to accompany a meal. Often when we order from our local Chinese Takeaway you get a free bag, but if you buy a Chinese meal from a Supermarket, then you have to buy your own, and that is how I tried these. These are sold in Tesco and only cost 70p for a 60g bag. The bag is quite large also, and 60g may not sound a lot, but these are light and crisp, so they don't tend to weigh much. The packaging is alright for this product. It is just a normal Crisp Bag style. It is black in colour and has the Tesco ... Read the complete review

MMM Tasty. I categorically do not like prawns or fish and for the longest time avoided prawn crackers when they came as an accompaniment to a chinese meal. I don't like prawn flavour crisps and had no desire to try these Then I plucked up the courage, probably after a few shandies. YUM. They melt in the mouth and have a light delicate flavour, bigger lighter and softer than crisps, these really are a nice little snack. Having tried them at our local Chinese restaurant I suddenly found myself with a bit of a craving. I found these at Tesco's 60g for 79p, foil wrapped and yes high in calories. 1/3rd of a bag 20g gives you 115cal and ... Read the complete review

Despite not being a Chinese fan, I'm an avid prawn cracker eater. To the point where I've gone to a buffet all you can eat Chinese restaurant and piled my plate high with prawn crackers - so I'm quite selective about my crackers. Being cheap and easily available, I figured I'd give Tesco's prawn crackers a try, and they're a big hit with me. They're light and not too greasy, and give that Quavers-like melt in your mouth experience. The flavour is subtle and not overpowering like some prawn crackers I've tried, not are they chewy like other brands I've tasted. I'd like to see a smaller portion size perhaps, as I'm terrible for munching my way through the bag ... Read the complete review
