Advantages: Tasty eaten hot or cold.

Disadvantages: Pastry a bit dry and heavy.

Tesco's own brand Quiche Lorraine usualy costs £1.59 each but Tesco have them on offer at the moment where you can buy 2 for £3.00 saving 18p, not much of saving but then every penny counts !

It comes in the usual easy to open cardboard box containing the Quiche in a silver foil tray measuring about 7 inches across and just over 1 inch thick which is enough for 4 servings.

The Quiche is a lovely golden yellow colour and looks very appetising with the main ingredients being smoked bacon and cheddar cheese combined with a creamy egg custard in a shortcrust pastry,

It can be eaten hot or cold,
on it's own,
or as part of a meal.

I find the filling quite light and very tasty, with bacon bits mixed in with the cheese and egg very flavoursome but not too strong,
and when hot there is a definite aroma of cheese and bacon which smells delicious,
the pastry on the otherhand is tasty but a bit dry and heavy for me, especially when eaten on it's own and I usually leave most of the pastry behind.

The rest of the family have no complaints with the pastry so I guess it's down to individual taste.

It can be sreved as part of a meal and I find it goes well with Chips and Beans/Spaghetti the latter making the pastry less dry to the taste and easier to eat.

Quiche Lorraine also makes a good plate filler cut up into slices for party food or for the BBQ

I really do like Tesco Quiche Lorraine but personally I find the pastry let's it down, the Bacon, Cheese and Egg on the otherhand is delicious

Tesco Quiche Lorraine can be served hot or cold but is not suitable for microwave heating,
it can be frozen on day of purchase and used within one month.

Allergy Advice
Contains Milk, Wheat, Gluten and Egg.

Tesco Quiche Lorraine 400g @ £1.59
Or 2 for £3.00.

Summary: Quick and easy meal/snack.

I love quiche & guess what - there's none in Italy :(
Yes I can make it myself but I'm not a successful quiche maker...
