Tesco Raspberry Ripple Soft Scoop Ice Cream. This caused a ripple of discontent in our house. I had no ice cream left in the freezer pre Christmas; hubby was doing a small tesco shop so I asked him to buy some. Hubby came home with some vanilla and some Tesco Raspberry Ripple Soft Scoop Ice Cream this cost £1.39 for a 2 litre tub I think this is a fairly cheap price. I opened the lid of the ice cream and said are you sure this is raspberry ripple yes hubby said. The ice cream was a white colour and had a few flecks of red init. I spooned some into a bowl yes I could see a fine tracing of red I suppose that was the ripple. I did ... Read the complete review

Tesco Raspberry Ripple Soft Scoop Ice Cream is a type of ice cream that I tried for the first time this week, venturing a bit into the unknown for me being a true and loyal plain old vanilla fan. I am a big raspberry fan so a combination of the two in an ice cream I thought couldn't be bad. The result of my exploration was a pleasant surprise, it makes a great combination of flavours, with the raspberry ripple making a great addition without overwhelming the vanilla flavour. ~~Packaging and Cost~~ The Tesco raspberry ripple ice cream comes in a 2 Litre container, in a standard plastic ice cream tub and costs £1.40 at the moment (November 09) ... As the weather has been getting a bit better lately, last week I decided to go to Tesco to get some of my favourite summer indulgence - Ice Cream! Raspberry Ripple is one of my favourite flavours, it reminds me of being little and eating it at my Grandma and Grandad's house. Like most people, I'm trying to spend my money wisely when it comes to shopping, so rather than buy a premium brand I decided to give the Tesco own brand a try. The current price is £1 for 2 litres, but this is a special offer, the normal price is £1.36. The first thing I noticed upon opening the tub was that there didn't seem to be very much raspberry showing. There were a few ... Read the complete review

I'm quite particular about my ice creams and a big fan of premium brands like Ben & Jerrys and Haagen Daaz. I've tried a few Tesco ice creams over the time and found that usually I get what I pay for. This one's a bit different though and tastes a bit more upmarket than it's priced at. It costs around £1.50 for a 2lt tub in Tesco so that's pretty cheap for any kind of ice cream, let alone a cheap one. What I like about this is the strong flavour. The vanilla is solid and a little bit creamy even it's not the best I've ever had. The raspberry sauce swirled all through this ice cream is quite sparingly mixed in, but very strong tasting. ... Going through my ice cream phase just now, I decided to go to tesco to see if they had my favourite. although I was tempted to buy some Ben And Jerrys whilst it was on offer, I decided to stick to my original idea and buy Raspberry Ripple! The ice cream is quite a creamy white shade of ice cream, and the raspberry sauce like part is quite swirly and unnatural. It was very red more than pink, which was not too bad - I just would have loved a brighter colour! Scooping some out, it was quite tough, but did not take long to soften and thaw. WHen I tasted it, the vanilla ice cream was very sweet. As for the raspberry ripple prt - it had a strong ... Read the complete review
