I've noticed that Tesco's Dry Roasted Peanuts have taken a bit of a drubbing in Praskipark's review. I can't say I'm too surprised because when compared to the likes of KP, they are nothing but monkey fodder. They're not as bad as made out in my opinion though, they're definitely not below the standards of other supermarket peanuts and they are occasionally good. That's part of the problem, you can't be sure of what you are buying. One day the peanuts will be almost representative of a decent brand and the next they will be dry and tasteless. It seems that regardless of the Best Before date and supposedly description "fresh", they seem ... Read the complete review

I am a real nut freak and will eat any type of nuts but generally prefer salted peanuts or cashews.. I have eaten a small bowl of nuts every day for the last 30 years but the last month or so I have stopped or tried to stop eatiing them as I checked my blood pressure and it was high. The reading was 121/83. So for 4 weeks I haven't eaten any nuts or drank any cuppa soups which are also high in salt content. Checking my blood pressure again two days ago I was relieved to see that there was an improvement. It read 111/77. On Saturday in Tesco's doing a big, boring shop I saw a packet of dry roasted peanuts, Tesco's own brand but not the really cheap value nuts. I couldn't ... Read the complete review

Tesco's Dry Roasted Peanuts As the title implies, these are dry roasted peanuts made and sold by Tesco. They come in a 200g bag which cost me £0.52. I am a big fan of dry roasted peanuts so looked forward to opening these. However, I was actually quite disappointed. They were quite brittle, I appreciate that nuts are suppose to be crunchy but these tasted a little like they had been left too long and become hard. The flavour of the dry roast coating wasn't great either and the nuts were very thinly coated (I like the flavour to be generous) which meant that they tasted more of nut than dry roasting. The nutritional information is as ... Read the complete review

I quite like these nuts, but then I quite like any nuts! I noticed that before people have said that they weren't as nice as KP nuts but then I wouldn't expect to be; they cost almost half as much as KP's equivalent. IO think that part of the problem is that if somebody tells you something is inferior then while you are eating it you are constantly thinking "hmm, are these nice?" I think this can do something to ruin the experience. I think these nuts are perfectly adequate, and they will probably keep getting better as tescos' are new to the market and will probably change it substantially. They are good for parties as you can afford to buy more for ... Read the complete review
