I had not eaten haslet before the other day, or at least, I had not eaten it knowing what it was. Haslet is a bit like sausagemeat or luncheon meat, essentially cooked pork with spices and herbs. This particular haslet had a lot of different herbs in it, which made the meat look quite appealing. This 125g pack cost just over the 60p mark, and you get about 8 slices. This seems to be about the norm for such meat, so price wise it's okay. Quite good, in fact. Or at least, it would be had the meat had any substance to it. I wanted something for hubbies and my work sandwiches. I had got bored of the same old things and noted some Haslet in the packed cold meat section .Its ages since we had Haslet. So since it was very cheap 64p for 125g = 51p per 100g I decided to buy it thought we could save some money too. For those of you who do not know Haslet is a seasoned and cooked pork roll. The pork is a bit like sausage meat I suppose. This Haslet came in a plastic vacuumed packet . The Haslet in round slices were a brown colour with a few flecks lighter and darker brown in it.
