Advantages: cheap, tasty
Disadvantages: not very dunk-a-ble
Malted milk have always been my favourite biscuits so when i switched supermarkets one weekend and saw these little beauties sitting on the self i just had to try them!
The Packaging:
These variety come in a plain looking blue wrapper. There is the tesco logo and a picture of the biscuits themselves. More recently they have also added a dietry traffic light system to these product showing how much fat etc they contain.
The Taste:
I find that these biscuits taste exactly the same as the more expensive varieties available, but maybe that's because i was brought up on own brand ones rather than the expensive ones.
They are suitably "malty" and have a nice sweet, but not overpowering taste.
The Dunk-a-bility:
The all important dunking test! These biscuits might taste great but they dont stand up too well to dunking in a good old cup of tea! I counted to my usual 5 seconds and my biscuit was gone! Broken and dissolved and i was left with a ruined cup of tea! I reckon you could probably go to 3 seconds safely but definately no more than that!
