Advantages: Tasty, moorish, as good as expensive makes
Disadvantages: Fall apart quite easily
Malted Milk biscuits have always been a firm favourite of mine and yet I am often distracted by the chocolate coatings and added extras of posher biscuits. However, I eventually always come back to my trusted malted milks. You just cannot beat them
Tesco malted milk biscuits are as good as any others that I have tried (though to be honest I do not think I have ever had a bad malted milk.) They are not too sweet but are sweet enough for a treat. They have quite a strong malt flavour. I have tasted maltier malt biscuits but these are certainly not poor quality. Think Horlicks in biscuit form and you're on the right track.
They are so moorish. I just ate eight in one go and although I feel I might have over-indulged just slightly, I do not feel sick. This is probably because they are not too sweet. (Would it be wrong to stop typing this and go to get more?!)
The only downside is they tend to fall apart quite easily. I usually end up taking them out of the packet broken in half - but that might have something to do with the speed at which I grab at them!
Nutrionally they are biscuits so what do you expect, vitamins?! Per 100g they contain 490 calories and 21.8g fat. That is pretty high but quite frankly I just don't care.
Look out for the blue packet with the cow embossed biscuits on the front. Dig out your 35 pence and buy them!
Summary: Delicious!

- 18/09/08 I think that is more-ish, rather than 'of the moors'? Sorry - I'm a horrible pedant, it is a curse!
I like these too, thanks for the review! Enjoy the rest of the packet! |
