Advantages: Tasty, melt in your mouth, cheap, ideal complement for a cuppa

Disadvantages: Not good for your waist!

Stop reading. I mean it. Don't look at any more lines or you'll regret it. Oh, too late you haven't hit the cross button or the back one have you. Don't say I didn't warn you...

No doubt you're wondering what this diabolical warning is all about. Well, it's about controlling our ever expanding waistlines and products like this certainly don't help.

Tesco's malted milk biscuits are just too damn addictive. I remember as a child when I first bit into these thinking they were rather awful on the tastebuds. However, with the advancement of many, many years the situation has changed somewhat and the opposite view now holds sway.

The problem with these is that one is just never enough. Once you settle down with the obligatory cup of tea or coffee (ugh! cannot stand that drink) and scour the biscuit tin for a tasty snack you're in for quite a treat.

It's got a real melt in your mouth feel and is packed full of a most pleasant flavour. I will confess to often picking up two or three of these little beasties before dunking them in tea (well, it'd be rude not too) and allowing them to slowly dissolve in your mouth.

A great thing about these is the price. Being a Tesco's own brand means you don't have to pay over the odds and in these troubling times it all adds up.

Of course it's not the healthy option but come on we've all got to treat ourselves every now and then. It's certainly one of the staple items on my shopping list although I have to admit that it'd probably be shortbread that is my favourite biscuit. Now, if you have been indulging in said treat whilst reading this review please do be sure to get up afterwards and do at least 40 sit ups and oh, 40 star jumps to protect your figure :D

Well to sum up then. Tasty, cheap and just plain nice (hold on that's another biscuit isn't it!). It's a yes from me!

Summary: Tea's not the same without one!
