I was doing a quick shop in Asda after work and wanted to get something quick and easy to make with minimal washing up so before I knew it I was browsing the frozen pizzas. I picked up a Deep Pan Pepperoni as it was only £1 and looked like a satisfying dinner. As I was heating the pizza in the oven I read the nutritional info on the pack and decided it better be satisfying - half contains 438 calories and has 13.1g fat (5.9 saturated)! San Marco purport this to be the "real taste of Italy" and my heart sank immediately. I have dined in a pizzeria in Rome and had big doubts this little fella would come close to what I tasted there. Grandiose ... Read the complete review

First of all I'll start the review by saying that San Marco isn't a Tesco own brand, as I bought it in Asda lol I think there's been a mix up with the titles and what not, anyway moving on...... Everybody loves pizza, it's simple to cook and good to eat. It's just a safe meal, no fuss and no faffing around in the kitchen. A lot of us like to order out, as do I, I absolutely love ordering from Domino's but when money's tight, and by god it's tighter than ever at the moment, these San Marco pizza's are perfect. As we all know pizza's aren't really good for us, with high calories, carbohydrates and basically high everything, they taste so good ... Read the complete review

I had never heard of the brand San Marco until I bought a pizza from Tesco. The pizza was in the frozen section on the end of a row on offer. tThe offer was a 345g box with one pizza for £1 I thought £1 was amazingly cheap for a pizza. I choose a margherita pizza and took it home. A few days later my daughter asked for pizza for tea so I took it our and read the instruction the pizza required 20-25 minutes in the oven on 190 degrees or gas mark 5. I cooked the pizza from frozen. I removed it from the box and ripped of the cling film surrounding it the base was the thickest I have ever seen. The topping looked very tomatoes and there was not very much cheese ... Read the complete review

As any regular reader of my reviews will know-I really like pizza! So when shopping in Tesco today I picked up a San Marco Margherita pizza at the bargain price of just £1. I would like to point out that the San Marco brand is not just available in Tesco as I have seen them in a number of other supermarkets. The pizza was in the freezer section and was in a square cardboard box. This was predominantly pale green in colour with a large San Marco logo to the top and a very appetising picture of the pizza on the front. Cooking the pizza was really simple, I just put it in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees. After 20 minutes the cheese had turned a lovely ... Read the complete review

I love pizza!! Its fab, tasty, easy to make and very filling so have been buying 'San Marco Pizza' in the Margherita flavour from Morrisons as they have been on offer for the past two weeks for only one pound :) Described as: Deep pan pizza topped with tomato sauce, analogue cheese flavour and mozzarella cheese' the pizza is made by Green Isle foods in the UK and is suitable for vegetarians... The makers says there is a real taste of Italy and is blended with the finest herbs for that authentic taste and so guarantee their product to be in perfect condition or your money back. For allergists there is milk, wheat and gluten and ... Read the complete review
