Advantages: Yummy! :)
Disadvantages: Fatty! :(
I love pizza!!
Its fab, tasty, easy to make and very filling so have been buying 'San Marco Pizza' in the Margherita flavour from Morrisons as they have been on offer for the past two weeks for only one pound :)
Described as: Deep pan pizza topped with tomato sauce, analogue cheese flavour and mozzarella cheese' the pizza is made by Green Isle foods in the UK and is suitable for vegetarians...
The makers says there is a real taste of Italy and is blended with the finest herbs for that authentic taste and so guarantee their product to be in perfect condition or your money back.
For allergists there is milk, wheat and gluten and may contain traces of nuts as well.
Pizza is really easy to cook in the oven, the instructions are on the back of the big cardboard box (recycle please!) but basically it is cook in the middle of the oven on Gas 5 for about 22-25 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and bubbling.
Make sure it is cooked thoroughly as you cook this product straight from frozen!
The pizza bread base is really light and fluffy and very filling; the tomato sauce is very juicy and full of flavour and the cheeses are just yummy!
I really like this brand of San Marco pizza and think it is one of the best pizza names out there. The quality is always high and their pizzas are so tasty!
The calories are high at 408 per half a pizza and the fat content is 12.1 g so pizza isn't classed as healthy so only good for an occasional treat. There is 4.2 g sugar also but it doesn't taste sweet to me really.
The pizza weighs 345g and keeps in the freezer until Oct next year on mine box. 5 stars from me as its delicious!!
Summary: Buy some! :-P

- 06/11/09 I'm surprised you like it so much- I thought the analogue cheese made it taste disgusting! But still, a great review :-) |
