My dad has the cod ones in the same wrapper and he has 2 at a time, I don't think that's being greedy because they're not a massive meal but the stodgy feel of them makes them filling. The breadcrumbs are nice as well. They go golden in the oven and have only got a faint flavour so that they don't mess with the yummy taste of the smoked cod. Th...more

I'm not mad keen on fish but have fishcakes and stuff like that sometimes. One of my faves are the smoked haddock fishcakes from Tesco, they are chilled and kept in the fridge with the fresh fish. They are yummy and taste mega fresh. There are big pieces of smoked haddock inside the fishcakes, the fish is cooked wicked and tastes lovely and smokey. The fish has made the whole fishcake taste like it's been smoked and I love the flavour of the entire thing. The potato is mashed but it's quite rough so the fishcake has got a yummy texture. One of the nicest smoked haddock fishcakes I've eaten recently is courtesy of Mr Tesco, they come in packs of two and cost £1.15. I do make my own fishcakes and love my own, but can't always be bothered to make them from scratch if I'm honest and I find these a very tasty alternative. As you probably know by now I'm dieting and on the lookout for foods that I can enjoy, and that also are not too high in calories and fat. These fishcakes fit the bill nicely because they have a nice strong flavour, are a good size and contain just 3 Weight Watchers points. These fishcakes are coated in a nice orange breadcrumb similar to what you'd find on ...  Read the complete review

I have been buying the Tesco salmon fishcakes for myself for a little while now, while I do really enjoy them I was ready for a change so this week while doing my weekly shop, I decided to see what else was on offer. The smoked haddock variety jumped out immediately at me. I love smoked haddock and though that these sounded absolutely delicious and also a real change to what I had been used to. I don't eat meat but do eat fish, but in a house with 3 meat eaters I often find myself cooking something meaty for the rest of the family and then I have to think of something to rustle up for myself. On nights when I neither have the will or inclination to make ...  Read the complete review

These fishcakes have been available in Tesco for a while now. They are £1.15 for one pack or £2 for two packs - not a bad price. They are chilled and kept with the other fish items in the fridge area. In our local Tesco its next to the fish counter. I have had these fishcakes a few times now and have to say they're pretty good all be it a bit small. There is definetely some fish in there and you can taste it. The breading is not too thick and crisps nicely in the oven. They are a far better option than the rubbish that is a fishshop frozen fishcake. I think these fishcakes are far healthier than the fried alternative as there are only 219 calaries ...  Read the complete review
