Advantages: Pleasant Taste

Sour Cream; you can use it for a range of purposes - from salad dressings to baked potatoes, as a chip-dip, or something you can put on desserts. Personally, I like it best on top of a delicious chili con carne - especially when accompanied by some nachos.

Although there are loads of different brands of soured cream available, I generally just opt for the bog-standard Tesco brand, which costs 89p for the 300ml container. You can also purchase a smaller 150ml pot, which retails at only 51p.
Flavour

Now I'm not the world's leading expert on sour cream, but I know what it should and shouldn't taste like. Luckily, this stuff tastes pretty good, with a fairly thick and creamy nature - I know it has the word 'sour' In its title, but actually, the best sour cream in my opinion has the least sour taste. This Tesco version is just about right, with a smooth and pleasing aftertaste without any of the overly-sour overtones which I have detected in other brands.
The cream comes packaged in a plastic purple container, with a peel of lid, and a further outer plastic lid. The design makes it quite easy to pour, and the double lid system ensures that it stays fresher for longer.

I highly recommend Tesco's own brand sour cream as a great accompaniment to whatever you choose to use it with - the price is reasonable, and the flavour is pleasant - what more can I say!
