Would not buy this even if I was starving!!!

This will not be a particularly long review as there is not really a lot to say about Tesco' s Spinach & Ricotta Quiche except that it is HORRIBLE!!!!!! I never buy quiches I only ever make my own, be it with bacon or a vegeterian one for my daughter. Now a couple of weeks ago after spending most of Saturday and most of the evening up the Hospital, we managed to get to Tesco's just before it was closing. So with Daughter being starving she went straight to the Quiche section and picked up this Spinach & Ricotta one. Feeling a bit peckish myself I said I would have half with her, so of we trotted home to get the oven on. Well on taking it out of it's green cardboard box, which I must say show's on the front a rather delicious looking quiche!! I was a bit dissappointed at how small and bland it looked. So pre heating the oven to 200C/400F/Gas Mark 6 we popped it in the oven and waited for the 20-25 minutes it took to cook. Being that this is a fresh quiche it wouldn't take that long. Well on reading the front of the box while waiting it said that it was "Spinach & Ricotta with cheddar cheese combined with a creamy egg custard in a shortcrust pastry". Well sounds good!! After what seemed a long wait finally it was time to get it out of the oven. So carefully lifting it onto a board, I started to cut it up. It didn't have much of a smell (whenever I make my own it fills the kitchen with a lovely smell!) so for the taste test. Yuk is the only work that comes to mind, I know it said "creamy egg custard" but it could have been a hot custard tart for all knew, as it had absolutely know taste what so ever!!!!! It just didn't taste of anything, just nothing!!!! I don't like to waste things, but we couldn't eat it and it went into the bin, I wouldn't mind but it cost £1.88 and would only have been enough for two people. If you like bland, tasteless, custard tarts then this is the one for you. Take my word for it!!! This quiche has per 100g serving(the whole thing is 400g); ~~~Calories 245~~~ ~~~Sugar 2.1g~~~ ~~~Fat 15g~~~ ~~~Saturates 6.5g~~~ ~~~Salt 0.6g~~~ This quiche has no added preservatives, colours or flavours ( for once prehaps it should have!). You can also freeze it and it is of course vegeterian friendly. I requested this to be put on Dooyoo that same night as I was so angry and have been waiting for it to come through! I suppose I will have to give it 1 star as it has to be rated, that can be for the cardboard box, I bet that would have tasted better!!!!!!
