... be nut free, so it will not be suitable for everyone. Both hubby and I really like this bread. It is fresh and tasty, and certainly as good as the irwin's bread that I was previously buying. When I first bought it I was dubious that it wouldn't be as nice as some of the more expensive brands, but I was wrong, and since then, I have not bought any other bread, unless it is on offer at around the same price as this loaf, which at 72p, I think it great value for money. As I said, this product holds up its claim to...more

As both hubby and I take a pack lunch to work every day, I need a ready supply of fresh wholemeal bread, neither of us like white bread. Since bread prices at Tesco seem to have rocketed over the past 6 months, I decided to change from my usual irwin's bread which was over a pound, but still a lot less than some other brands, and try Tesco's whole stayfresh wholemeal bread which usually costs 72p, but is on offer at the moment for 65p. Each slice of this bread contains 82 calories, and 0.4g of salt, which is the best not the worst I have seen on the shelves. It is suitable for home freezing, like most bread, and ideal for vegetarians as well. Tesc also ...  Read the complete review

I bought this bread last week after the doctor told me I would really benefit from having more wholemeal in my diet. I'm not a big bread eater so I thought this pack was ideal as the bread is guaranteed to stay fresh for 7 days. I bought this from my local tesco at 75p for an 800g loaf which isn't too bad as for the branded bread you can expect to pay around £1.10. I am not a big fan of wholemeal bread at all, I have never enjoyed it and have always purchased white bread, and more recently the best of both variety. Therefore, I wasn't expecting much when I tucked into my sandwich the other day. I've always thought wholemeal bread tastes of cardboard but ...  Read the complete review

I just had to write a review about this after all the recent problems we've had. We were buying this quite regularly because it was good value for money at 64p for a loaf of decent wholemeal bread that stayed fresh for a good five to seven days (where it lasted that long). In the last few months, the price has jumped to 72p per loaf, and that was following quite a long period where we couldn't get any in our local Tesco due to "supplier problems". So it came back at 72p per loaf and I thought that was fine, a few extra pence is to be expected on products during these difficult economic times. But when I opened up the loaf, I was amazed to ...  Read the complete review
