Tesco sultanas

Sultanas are grapes which have been left to dry under the sun. The trick with Sultanas is to dry them, but not too much, leaving them chewy and plump. Tesco's Sultanas cost less than 1.50 Pound for a half kilo packet. The package is the same red as the photo on Dooyoo, or a mixture of pink and red. I love baking fruit cakes, these sultanas are ones I will often buy for baking .. These sultanas are available in 500g or 1kg packet's. The packaging is a red /dark pink plastic which has two clusters of grapes pictured on it , well one cluster really the other is a clear window to display the fruit. * Price. The 500g pack costs £1.38p the 1kg £2.65 so the bigger bag works out 11p cheaper per kg. When I was younger I ate very little fruit. However I would go through boxes and bags of raisins like they were the only thing around. I cant remember ever having sultanas as a child, but to be honest I couldnt tell the difference. Though now I adore sultanas and eat them quite often.
