This is the essential smoothie accessorie of the summer. The picture is completley wrong on this site but it comes in a plastic box, with a plastic seal and a cardboad cover which has a picture of the fruit on it. Inside is frozen blackberries, rasberries, cranberries and other asorted colourful berries. It costs about 1.49 from Tescos and is the own brand. I use it for the main base of my smoothies. This is how I would use this product: *Let it defrost outside the freezer for about 1hour, until its still quite cold but not completely unfrozen. *Remove all packaging, and tip the berries into your smoothie maker. *Use the ice ... Tesco summer fruits are a great buy in my opinion, these fruits have a short time in season and buying them like this means you can freeze them and have them around whenever you want them. This selection of fruits from Tesco contains all the summer berries you would expect and is great for using as topping on homemade cheesecakes or pavlova`s, for making fruit pies or simply chuck them in a bowl and pour on the double cream for a delicious summer snack. However you enjoy these fruits one thing is for sure you will enjoy them. These fruits are always in perfect condition and very juicy indeed, my only real problem with the purchase of these is there ... Read the complete review

I noticed the Tesco Frozen Summer Fruits, when they were on special with another pack of frozen fruit. So as they were on the promotion i thought i would try them not too sure of what other than defrosting them and having with cream or ice cream which was pretty tasty any way. After having a thumb through a couple of recipes books and magazines i dicides to try and use them as i wouls with fresh or possible dried fruit and they worked a dream as follows. Using a large container of value natural yoghut with some sweetner added i put a large and full in and made a low calories fruit yoghut that is great as a dessert or in a pack lunch them i tried adding them to a ... This product is great for buying, stuffing it into the freezer and then waiting for the perfect moment that you need summer fruits. Those moments arn't that many for most folks - the unexpected pavlova, a gormet fruit compote etc - but they are there. The season for these fruits is quite short - so having a convenience version is undeniably useful. One of the main ways this product has been used in my house is for smoothie making; they are perfect for slinging into the blender with (soya) milk and other fruit, making a ridiculously easy but deliciously healthy beverage. In terms of fruit selection, I would prefer there to be more raspberries - but that might ... Read the complete review

During another fad diet I was trying I decided to try fruit smooties. I am not a fan of fresh fruit, and even the stuff I do like usually goes out of date before I have had time to eat it. I tried a few ready made smootie packs which were quite nice but fairly costly, and not a great deal in them. Then I noticed Tesco Frozen Summer Fruits - they were on offer at the time (iusually cost approx 1.50 per tub) so I bought 2. The tubs contain a beutiful, colourful selection of frozen blackberries, rasberries, cranberries and other assorted summer berries. I know make this as a regular breakfast or refreshing smoothie, blending (from frozen if your blender allows you to) with ... Read the complete review
