I have had sushi from Tesco before, but it had only been a pack of 4 small pieces. I like sushi so was pleased to see a new sushi product - 'Salmon Snack'. *Packaging* It states on the packaging 'NO RAW FISH' which I think is good because I hear a lot of people saying they don't want to eat sushi because it's raw fish. It is a small box, with a clear lid, measuring approx 11cm by 8cm. It is a good size to have in your bag for lunch, or a snack on the go. *Product* The pack is 103g and contains: * 1 smoked salmon, cucumber, red pepper and wasabi mayonnaise Californian roll with a white sesame seed coating * 1 smoked ... I absolutely love sushi and have been around the block a bit trying to find the best one out of all the supermarkets in our area. The Tesco variety is one of my top two. Sushi is so good for you and not only contains omega oils but it's low fat and very filling. It is an acquired taste and if you don't like fish then you won't like this at all because it contains raw fish and other ingredients' like cream cheese, red peppers, lettuce etc. You can buy the sushi in lots of different packs ranging from a snack pack which costs just £1, up to a sharing pack which is £6. If you don't like fish then you can opt for a vegetarian pack ... Read the complete review

Tesco Sushi Selection Pack...... A year ago the idea of eating sushi would probably have made me feel a little sick, I mean RAW FISH who would eat that! I usually like my fish nicely cooked and flaky not slimy and still alive. However as I had decided this is the year for trying new things and living life to the full I decided to give sushi a chance. Helping along this new challenge was the fact that I saw you could purchase a snack pack of sushi in Tesco for a mere £1! So my first ever sushi experience was the beginning of this year and I haven't looked back. Tesco £1 snack sized pack was well worth trying as it gave me an ... Read the complete review

Dooyoo's review heading is for Tesco Sushi in general, which suggests a freedom to write about any of the popular supermarket's sushi products - therefore my review will focus on the 'Fish & Vegetable Sushi Selection', which retails at £2 for the 150g pack. There is often debate about what 'sushi' actually is, with most people assuming the word means 'raw fish' (an opinion cheekily reinforced in my title) - however, 'sushi' is generally accepted as simply a name for vinegar rice when accompanied with assorted toppings. Infact, Tesco sushi doesn't contain raw fish anyway, so those of you who avoid eating raw food will be fine with this. So what ... Read the complete review

I've always liked the idea of sushi, ...however the raw fish has always put me off and made me want to gag. I like fish but the texture and taste of raw is too much for me. I have tried a vegetable selection from Boots but wasnt too impressed so upon a wander of Tesco this afternoon the Chicken Suishi and the Tuna, Prawn & Veg Sushi caught my eye. Now im not greedy, I just couldnt decided which one I fancied so I decided to pick and mix with the two selections with someone else. The Tuna, Prawn & Veg selection contained 1 Tuna mayonaise and red pepper Californian roll, 1 Prawn mayonnaise and red pepper Californian roll, 2 Yellow Pepper ... Read the complete review
