Tesco Sweet Pickled Onions

I brought a jar of Tesco Sweet Pickled Onions last week to go with a salad and I didn't think they were very nice even though I've eaten cheap onions before and not minded them. These ones have got a proper weird taste though and they are sweet and tangy at the same time, even though that usually tastes nice I thought the combination was strange with these onions. I didn't think they were very crunchy either and the middles of them was a bit too soft for how I like my pickled onions. Pickled onions are my favourite lunchtime accompaniament. They go very well with cheddar cheese and crusty bread. My parents always have them in the house and I have inherited that habit. I buy the tesco sweet pickled onions as they were only £1 for a huge jar of them. Ive had the jar for about a month now and Im only half way down. I thought this was great value for money, as a lot of the branded products are twice the price for a smaller jar, although they have nicer packaging.
