Although there is little flavour in the way of the herbs, the tangy tomato flavour is very evident. The rolls can be bought for around 18p in most Tesco stores, which is reasonable. I personally feel that 2 rolls are sufficient to go with a bowl of soup, and since the rolls are so nice and filling, they are good value....more

A regular item on my weekly shopping list are a few of Tesco's own Tomato & Herb Rolls. These can be found in the Tesco Bakery section of the store, and are normally freshly baked the same day. The Tesco Tomato & Herb Rolls are made mainly from wheat flour, water, sundried tomatoes (6%), yeast, salt, tomato powder, oregano and emulsifiers. The rolls contain little pieces of sundried tomatoes and a mixture of herbs throughout, both of which are very visible, inside and out. The rolls are fairly small, I would say no more than around 8cm by 8cm in size, and come in an light orangy colour. One of the main things that I love to eat is one of things that I try to cut out when I am dieting and that is bread, purely because of the amount of carbohydrates that it contains. Don't get me wrong, you can have a certain amount of carbs in a day and shouldn't cut them out completely, but the amount of bread that I can eat in a day is way over the top. I like any kind of bread, however fresh bread is always a favourite and just lately I have found myself eating quite a lot of Tesco Tomatoe and Herb Roll's along with the masses of soup that I have been eating.
