I only discovered the pleasure of baked beans in UK, I had never had them the way they are prepared in UK before in my life.

Baked beans are normally sweeter than the beans I am used to, which are either the version you find in the Brazilian dish fejoada, a black kind of bean, or the Italian type, called Borlotti, which are amongst the richest in proteins.

Tesco value baked beans cost less than 30p for a can of 400 gramms and do not taste bad either!

I but them from time to time, and I always find it funny that there are so many people loading their trolley with this kind of beans!

I eat them with bacon.

I open the tin and pour them in a pan where I previously laid a very thin layer of olive oil to warm up. I normally prepare the bacon separately since I like to take off some of the fat I used to fry the bacon.

I also tried the baked beans from Hertz and I prefer the ones from Tesco because they are cheaper and to me do not taste very much differently.

If you like baked beans, this could be a good product for you.
