everyone - or is it just me? - is sufferning from the credit crunch so I'm aiming to save money wherever poss - these beans were a good buy for me. surorisingly tasty - a little runny but I poured some of the juice out before heating & added a little worcestershire sauce then topped with some economy cheese & served on top of toasted bread - to be honest I couldn't tell the difference between these & more expensive beans.
the other day I couldn't find anything exciting in the cupborads so made a family cheapo dish by using up odds & ends from the fridge & called it a 'layered surprise' (maybe not MY invention but sounded good)
I just put layers of the following in an ovenproof dish -
onions,tesco value beans,grated cheese, sliced egg & sliced tomato & potato - topped with grated cheese & served with crusty bread - very cheap,tasty,nutritious & filling - went down well with all the family!
these tesco beans are also really good if you add a little curry sauce/powder & raisins - have you seen the price of curried beans lately??!

Summary: try these - great to have in stock!
