Tasco Value beans. You get what you pay for. (Tesco Value Baked Beans)

Advantages: good value for money Disadvantages: sauce less rich and thick This product seems to have very mixed opinions! Personally I don't think they are that bad, but would only buy them if I was particularly strapped for cash. Ok, details. Money wise they are 29p a can. That's just under half of what you would pay for Heinz at 64p. Fat and calorie wise there's not much difference. Heinz have ONE more calorie but 0.4g less fat. I found the beans themselves to be slightly harder, and the sauce just isn't as thick and rich. It seems slightly more watery. The can is still nice and full and with some grated cheese on top (on my jacket potato!) they tasted fine. However with the breakfast where they had nothing else flavouring them the change was noticeable. These are certainly good if you're on a budget and are still edible and reasonably tasty, but if you wish to eat them as a side to a meal then i would recommend stretching the purse strings for that extra 35p and going for a more expensive brand.
