Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Taste awful and they are rock hard.
***** Introduction *****
Having heard many good reports that the Tesco value baked beans were if fact very good value for money, swayed me into trying them.
This has been a very big mistake and I am writing this review to inform all of you other consumers that these are not worth the money.
***** The Baked Beans *****
At only 34p a can some may say these are very good value but for me the taste is the biggest arm twister for me and not just the price.
Anyway as I was saving nearly 50p on my regular brand Heinz I thought these were worth a try. Upon opening the tin with a can opener as the poorly packaged value range dont have the easy ring pull, I found they looked the same so it was completely down to the taste.
After a few minutes in the pan a started to notice there were more black beans than orange ones and the were clanging against the side of the pan, this then told me they were rock hard.
The taste test came five or so minutes later and I have to say these were vile they were like eating bullets, so I there fore will not be recommending these even if it is to save a few pennies.
***** My Views *****
These are awful which has suprised me as many rate the highly and in past experience the tesco value range has been well above avarage, but these beans are terrible and I strongly advise against buying them.
If you boil the backside out of them they may soften slightly but then you will be left with mushy beans and not normal ones.
Summary: NOT recommended I would not feed these to a dog.
